$160K - $175K Plus Bonus And Benefits.

Full-Time Hybrid Position Reporting to Miami Office.
We are an established South Florida-based public accounting firm looking for a Tax Manager with recent Public Accounting experience. Our company was founded in 1959 and has approximately 70 professionals with offices located in Miami and Boca Raton. The firm has a rich history of internal growth and professional development, providing audit/financial reporting, tax, forensic, and other related services. Our clients are both domestically and internationally based.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related decisions and activities in the organization. You will help us stay tax-compliant and up-to-date on new tax laws.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance: Ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant tax laws and regulations. This involves staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and implementing necessary adjustments.
Tax Planning: Developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize the organization's financial position. This includes identifying opportunities for tax savings and minimizing tax liabilities.
Financial Reporting: Collaborating with the finance and accounting teams to accurately report financial information, including tax provisions, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Audit Support: Assisting in the preparation for and response to tax audits. This involves providing necessary documentation, and explanations, and ensuring compliance with audit requests.
Team Management: Leading a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and supervision. Coordinating the team's efforts to achieve tax-related goals and deadlines.
Risk Management: Assessing and mitigating tax-related risks. This includes evaluating potential tax implications of business decisions and proposing solutions to manage risks effectively.
Communication: Interacting with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and tax authorities. Communicating complex tax issues clearly and understandably to non-experts.
Research and Analysis: Conducting thorough research on tax issues, staying informed about industry trends, and analyzing their impact on the organization. Providing recommendations based on this analysis.
Tax Filings: Overseeing the preparation and filing of various tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other applicable filings.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline tax processes, improve efficiency, and enhance overall tax operations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Must have a CPA.
- Must currently work in Public Accounting.
- At least three years of experience with tax preparation for individuals and corporations.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex tax concepts to clients clearly and understandably.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
