FP&A and Risk Management Analyst

80K-85K Plus Bonus and Benefits

Wholesale distributor of food, equipment and supplies to independent grocery retailers and foodservice operators across the United States. Operating 138 locations in 34 states.

Seeking highly motivated, technically proficient and business savvy RFP Analyst for our Procurement team. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects that have far reaching implications for all stakeholders across our organization.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Create processes and methods to gather, analyze, monitor, and report on purchasing data
  • Analyze product and vendor data to identify opportunities for cost savings in our supply chain and suggest cost effective and practical improvements
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal contributors and subject matter experts to ensure requests for proposals sent to vendors are complete, accurate and set us up to maximize our savings
  • Help analyze vendor bids – develop scalable and replicable techniques to analyze RFPs
  • Work with our Analytics department to help develop tools for automation of our RFP process
  • Measure performance against targets/benchmarks for activities & services related to procurement
  • Help translate various supply chain scenarios to financial and operational models
  • Help identify alternative products and cost savings opportunities – recommend solutions and present results in meaningful terms by telling stories with data
  • Coordinate and work across functions to investigate and analyze optimal procurement strategies for our organization
  • Develop cost saving initiatives to improve the operational and cost performance of our purchasing and logistics models
  • Gather and identify opportunities for process optimization
  • Standardize inputs and outputs to reporting to provide timely and accurate information
  • Conceive of new ideas and projects to improve the performance of the department

You’ll need to have:

  • Experience as a Financial, Business, Data or Supply Chain Analyst or a similar role
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • BA/BS Degree required; Data, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent
  • Experience coordinating, and communicating across different functions in the organization
  • Experience in financial (or other quantitative) reporting including development and maintenance of reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

We’d love to see:

  • Data cleaning experience
  • Exposure to basic accounting and finance functions + terminology
